International Aerosol Conference 2022

The International Aerosol Conference 2022 was an conference that brought together researchers from all around the world that are developing their work on the aerosol research field.

The ExpoLIS project was present at this conference:

• Carolina Correia presented two posters entitled “ExpoLIS: Quality control and calibration of low cost sensing system” and “ExpoLIS: An Air Quality mobile low cost sensing system to monitor air quality”.

• Vânia Martins made an oral presentation entitled “Factors affecting personal exposure to aerosol particles in transport microenvironments”.

•Tiago Faria presented the poster “Contribution of the emission sources to the children’s exposure to particles”.

Noite Europeia dos Investigadores 2021

As it had already happened in 2019, ExpoLIS was once again at the European Night of Researchers.

This is an event that aims at bringing together researchers and the community. The ExpoLIS project was present in the 2021 edition and the citizens had the opportunity to be informed about the ExpoLIS system and APP.

European Aerosol Conference 2021

The European Aerosol Conference 2021 was an on-line conference that brings together researchers from all around the world that are developing their work on the aerosol research field.

The ExpoLIS project was present at this conference. Carolina Correia presented an oral presentation entitled “Field performance and quality control of a network of low cost sensors for air quality monitoring” and a poster presentation entitled “Assessment of human exposure to air pollution to change the way people move in cities”. Furthermore, Vânia Martins from the ExpoLIS made an oral presentation entitled “Concentration and chemical composition of PM in urban transport modes”. 

Presentation of the ExpoLIS project at Ecology Day Webinar

On the 15th september 2020, the ExpoLIS project was present at the Ecology Day Webinar promoted by the LIFE Index-Air project.

 

Presentation of the ExpoLIS project at the C2TN CARISMA Summer School

On the 10th september 2020, the ExpoLIS project was presented at the C2TN CARISMA  (Ciências e Aplicações das Radiações Ionizantes na Saúde, Materiais e Ambiente) Summer School.

 

Presentation of the ExpoLIS project at the 3rd Workshop of C2TN "Radiation and Science for a Better Society"

On the 5th December 2019, the ExpoLIS project was presented to the C2TN community in the context of the 3rd Workshop C2TN - Radiation and Sicence for a Better Community.

On the 15th November 2019, the ExpoLIS project was presented at 36th meating of the Grupo Técnico da Qualidade do Ar at APA.

Presentation of the ExpoLIS project to the universitary students of Técnico Lisboa

On the 31st October 2019, the ExpoLIS project was presented to universitary students at Técnico Lisboa.

In this presentation the students got to know what is the motivation of the project, how it is being implemented and what are the project main objectives.

                                    

 

European Researchers' Night 2019

The European Researcher' Night is an initiative launched in 2005 that aims to celebrate Science and join together the researchers and the citizens.

ExpoLIS was present in this event with a maquete that aims to represent the project.

                                    

 

4th Edition of the International Congress on Environmental Health (ICEH 2019)

The 4th Edition of the International Congress on Environmental Health, ICEH 2019, took place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 25th to 27th September 2019, and was hosted by Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde de Lisboa (Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa.

Carolina Correia and Vânia Martins presented a poster entitled “ExpoLIS – Assessment of human exposure to air pollution to change the way people move in cities” and made an oral presentation whose title was "Commuter exposure and inhaled dose of particulate matter in four common modes of transport in Lisbon".

                                    

 

Meeting with the project consultant Dr. Lidia Morawska

On the 18th September 2019 the ExpoLIS team had a meeting with the project consultant Dr. Lidia Morawska. In the meeting the partners and Dr. Lidia presented their projects and discussed new ideas and all the relevant matters related to the ExpoLIS project.

                                    

Seminar “Mobilidade Elétrica para a melhoria da qualidade do ar nas cidades"

On the 20th September 2019, Marta Almeida and Vânia Martins, members of ExpoLIS team, participated in the Seminar “Mobilidade Elétrica para a melhoria da qualidade do ar nas cidades” promoted by the Almada Municipality and Ageneal that happened at the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologias da Universidade de Lisboa. This event was planned to commemorate the European Week of Mobility and there Marta Almeida presented the ExpoLIS project.

 

 

7th edition of the Iberian Meeting on Aerosol Science and Technology (RICTA 2019)

The 7th Iberian Meeting on Aerosol Science and Technology, RICTA 2019, is a conference that aims to bring together groups that actively pursue aerosol research. RICTA 2019 took place in Lisbon, Portugal from 9 to 11 July 2019 and was hosted by Instituto Superior Técnico (University of Lisbon).

Carolina Correia, an ExpoLIS PhD student, participated in this conference and presented two posters entitled: (1) “An air quality exposure sensing system aiming to change the way people move in cities” and (2) “An integrated system for the sustainable management of traffic congested urban corridors and buses fleets”. Besides that, she also made an oral presentation in the context of this project entitled "Exposure and inhaled dose of particulate matter by commuters in Lisbon".

                                                                        

First Technical Meeting of the ExpoLIS project

On the 1th January 2019, the First Technical Meeting of the ExpoLIS project was held.

In this reunion the partners defined new implementation strategies and established the next activities to proceed with the project implementation.

In the photo on the right there are present some of the ExpoLIS partners from IST (Marta Almeida, Carolina Correia, Vânia Martins and Joana Coutinho) and ISCTE-IUL (Pedro Santana and Alexandre Almeida).
